Snellville is a city in Gwinnett County, Georgia, east of Atlanta. The population was 15,351 at the 2000 census. Census estimates for 2005 show a population of 19,238. The city's mayor, Jerry Oberholtzer, was elected to a 4-year term in 2003. Snellville is an increasingly important suburb of Atlanta.
