Greece is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. As of the 2000 United States census, the town had a total population of 94,141. The region that the town now occupies was originally settled by the Algonquin and Iroquois Native Americans in the 1300s. European settlers began to arrive in the area in the 1790s. The town motto is "Discover the Promise." The Town of Greece is in the northern part of the county and borders the City of Rochester on the east, the town of Gates on the south, the towns of Parma and Ogden on the west, and Lake Ontario on the north. The town is a contiguous suburb of Rochester. The area known as Charlotte, on the eastern border, was formerly part of the town until it was annexed by the City of Rochester in 1916. Greece CSD has twelve elementary schools, four middle schools, and four high schools in the Greece Central School District, educating approximately 13,000 students. Major highways in the town include NY 390 and the Lake Ontario State Parkway.

Rochester, also known as The Flour City, The Flower City and The World's Image Centre, is a city in Monroe County, New York, United States.
The City of Rochester is the county seat for Monroe County. It is at the center of a larger Metropolitan Area which encompasses and extends past Monroe County and includes Genesee County, Livingston County, Ontario County, Orleans County, and Wayne County.
This larger metropolitan area has a population of 1,037,831 people as of the 2000 Census. As of July 1, 2005, this population rose slightly to 1,039,028, making Rochester the third largest city in New York State.
Principal suburbs of the city include Brighton, Chili, East Rochester, Fairport, Gates, Greece, Henrietta, Irondequoit, Penfield, Pittsford, Victor and Webster.
Rochester was ranked #6 among 379 U.S. Metro areas in the 25th edition of the Places Rated Almanac for Most Livable Cities.
The current Mayor of Rochester is Robert Duffy.

Brighton New York - Population: 35,584
The Town of Brighton, located on the southeast border of the city of Rochester, was originally settled approximately 1790, and formally established in 1814—earning it recognition as one of the oldest towns in Monroe County. Named for Brighton, England, it remained a farming and brick-making community until the 20th century, when it began its evolution into an upscale suburban residential area, occupying some 15 square miles. In 1999, the town purchased 64 acres (259,000 m²) with the intention of developing a central park. Today, that area is Buckland Park, host to several playgrounds and sports fields, as well as easy access from the Canal Path (see below).
The area is served by the Brighton Central School District, which frequently earns high positions in Newsweek national rankings (5th in 1998).

East Rochester New York - Population: 6,650
East Rochester is a coterminous town and village located southeast of the City of Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The village, home to about 6,700 people, is bounded by Pittsford to the west and south and Perinton to the north and east. The southern boundary is delimited by New York State Route 31F, which runs parallel to but never enters East Rochester. The village line in the remaining three directions are less distinct. East Rochester has been considered by the public as Rochester's "Little Italy," as over a half of the town's residents have Italian ancestry, and Italian can even be heard in offices and homes. It has also been home to some of the finest Italian restaurants in the Rochester. Due to the success of its high school sports teams, East Rochester has been affectionately referred to as "The Home of Champions." The East Rochester Police Department provides primary law enforcement for the town residents. The East Rochester Fire Department is staffed by volunteers.

Webster New York - Population: 5,216
Webster is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 37,926 at the 2000 census. Today, Webster is the fastest-growing suburb of Rochester, New York. The town is named after orator and statesman Daniel Webster.
The Town of Webster is located in the northeast corner of the county. There is also a village named Webster in the town. The town's motto is "Where Life Is Worth Living".
The site of present-day Webster was first explored by Europeans in 1669. French explorer René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle entered Irondequoit Bay (the land of the Seneca Indians), exploring Lake Ontario looking for inland waterways.
On July 25, 1837, Daniel Webster had spoken to a large gathering of Whigs on the Rochester courthouse steps concerning currency regulation and the state of the economy. The Rochester Democrat editorialized that he was "the cleverest fellow in the world for embellishing a story."

Pittsford New York - Population: 1,418
Pittsford is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 27,219 at the 2000 census.
The Town of Pittsford (formerly part of the town of Northfield) was incorporated in 1827. It was named by Colonel Caleb Hopkins, Pittsford's first town supervisor and War of 1812 hero, for the town of his birth, Pittsford, Vermont.
The Erie Canal passes through the town.
