Montvale is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 7,034. Montvale was incorporated as a borough on August 31, 1894, at the height of the Boroughitis craze then sweeping through Bergen County that led to the creation of over two dozen new municipalities in the county in that one year alone. The new borough consisted of portions of both Orvil Township and Washington Township. On February 15, 1896, Montvale acquired part of Orvil Township. In 1906, Montvale added further land from both Orvil and Washington Townships, and in 1912, Montvale added territory from Upper Saddle River.

Teaneck New Jersey - Population: 39,260
Teaneck is a township in Bergen County, New Jersey, and is a suburb of New York City. As of the United States 2000 Census, the township population was 39,260. The Census Bureau's 2004 population estimate for the township is 39,853.
Teaneck was created on February 19, 1895 by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature. Teaneck was formed from portions of Englewood Township and Ridgefield Township, both of which are now defunct (despite existing municipalities with similar names), along with portions of Bogota and Leonia. On May 3, 1921 and on June 1, 1926, portions of what had been Teaneck were transferred to Overpeck Township.

Tenafly is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2000 Census, the borough population was 13,806.
The first to settle in Tenafly were the Dutch in the late 1600's. The name "Tenafly" is derived from the Dutch words "Tiene Vly" or "Ten Swamps" which was given by Dutch settlers in 1688 [1]. It is sometimes thought to mean "ten holes" from a legend describing Dutch settlers digging ten wells in the town.[citation needed]
Tenafly was incorporated as a borough on January 24, 1894 under an act of the New Jersey Legislature. It was created from portions of the now-defunct Palisades Township.

Saddle Brook adopted its current name in November 1955, changing it from Saddle River Township. Saddle River Township was created in March of 1716, and consisted of all of the territory in Bergen County west of the Saddle River. This makes it one of the oldest municipalities in Bergen County.
Saddle Brook is intersected by the Garden State Parkway (exit 159), Interstate 80 (exit 62), and U.S. Route 46. In addition, Route 4 and Route 17 are within a quarter mile of its border.
