Walnut Creek was first known as "The Corners," where two roads leading from Pacheco and Lafayette met. This Corner is now known as the Mt. Diablo Boulevard and North Main Street intersection. The first settler of the area was William Slusher, who built a dwelling on the bank of Walnut Creek, which was then known as "Nuts Creek" in 1849. Today, Walnut Creek has been routed underneath downtown through a series of tunnels starting at the southwest end of Macy's and ending just southwest of The Cantina Restaurant. Slusher's dwelling was built in the area of modern-day Liberty Bell Plaza.

Danville California - Population: 41,715
Danville is a town located in a part of Contra Costa County, California called the San Ramon Valley, United States. The population was 41,715 at the 2000 census. It is considered an upscale suburb of Oakland and San Francisco.
It is in the local area still referred to as the Town of Danville and it still preserves the characteristics of a town — being compact, largely self sufficient as far as shopping goes, and having only a couple commercial centers. Its downtown is noted for its somewhat rustic charm, intensively upgraded owing to its now extremely affluent demographics and its popularity as a regional destination for dining and light shopping. With heavy restriction on large development, the downtown consists of many small shops on several traditional-styled plazas. It does not have its own hospital, being well served by nearby regional medical centers, nor, with the exception of a Costco location near its boundary with San Ramon, does it host the "heavy shopping."

Lafayette California - Population: 23,908
Lafayette is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city's population was 23,908. The city is named in honor of the Marquis de Lafayette, the French military hero of the American Revolutionary War, one of many U.S. cities to be so named. The city is part of the greater San Francisco Bay Area and has its own station on the BART public transit system. Lafayette is situated between Walnut Creek, Moraga, and Orinda, and, together with the latter two towns, is considered locally as part of "Lamorinda." Lafayette is also known as being a part of the "Far East Bay," a classification which places it just outside of the realm of metropolitan Bay Area politics, culture, and nightlife. This area is separated from greater Berkeley and Oakland by the Berkeley Hills (and the Caldecott Tunnel running beneath), a geographical boundary within the East Bay which also represents interesting meteorological, cultural, and political distinctions.
